Wearable Violet Purple Plum Hair

Are you wild at heart but still have to keep it professional? In this video, I go over how to do a wearable violet hair color. Plus, I get to test out the new and vibrant VV shades from Kenra!

Wearable Violet Hair Color

I am super excited about these new shades that Kenra Color just launched. This video is complete with gray coverage application, highlights using the AirTouch method, and finish off my model with the brand new VV’s from Kenra that shows you how I completed this wearable violet hair color.

Would you believe that her hair was red/orange prior to this? Getting to this cool shade can be difficult but I used @kenraprofessional 6VV over it without pre toning giving me this wearable Violet 💜

When doing a root touch up it is important to start in the front where the gray is most prevalent. This allows for longer processing time as well as more saturation.

I love using a zig zag parting when creating a more natural, organic finish. They are bright, but it offers a low maintenance look.

Formula Breakdown using Kenra: On my model’s Regrowth, I used 5NUA with a 20vol developer and a 1 to 1 ratio.

For her Highlights, I used Kenra Professional No Ammonia Lightener with 30 volume developer into 20 volume developer.

For her Final shade, I used the brand new Kenra Professional 6VV with a 1:2 mixing ratio and 9 Volume developer.

Check out one of my blogs where I go over a beautiful blush pink look!

One of my favorite things to do is have some fun with wearable pink toners. For example, you should be able to walk into a room without anyone saying “wow, she has pink hair!” Although, I personally would be fine with it. If I could give everyone a bright money piece and blush blonde hair, I would!
