Terms and Conditions

Effective date: October 5, 2026 Last updated: October 5, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms“) are the rules for using all Mirella Manelli education websites, apps and programs (together, the “Services“):

  • mirellamanelli.com (blog, Hair B&B podcast, resource shop, live education)
  • hairbnbuniversity.com (Hair B&B University, including Dean’s List memberships and the Student Store)
  • mirellamanellieducation.com (online courses, mini-courses, guides and live event checkout)
  • the Hair B&B University app, listed as “Hair Beauty Business” on the Apple App Store and Google Play
  • our emails, text messages, online community, live trainings, classes and events

Manelli hair extensions and tools sold at manellihair.com are covered by the policies posted on that site, not by these Terms.

By using the Services or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.

These Terms replace all earlier terms and course agreements posted on our sites, including the earlier Mirella Manelli Education Terms & Conditions and Online Course Agreement. A checkout page may list extra details for a specific product (for example, event dates or what’s included). Those details apply too, but if anything conflicts with these Terms, these Terms control unless the checkout page clearly says it replaces a specific section.

1. Who we are

The Services are operated by Sound Sci-Lens Multimedia Group, LLC, doing business as Mirella Manelli, Mirella Manelli Education and Hair B&B University (“we,” “us,” “our“).

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Mail: Sound Sci-Lens Multimedia Group, LLC, 6 Journey, #155, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, United States

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase. If you are under 18, for example a cosmetology student, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and make the purchase for you.
  • The Services are not directed to children under 13.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • One account, one person. Keep your login private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it.

3. Hair B&B University

3.1 Free access. You can sign up for free in the app or on hairbnbuniversity.com. Free access includes the Hairstylist Starter Kit (a set of free lessons) and access to the community. We may change what’s included in free access at any time.

3.2 Dean’s List membership. The Dean’s List is our paid membership. It unlocks the full lesson library, monthly live trainings and replays, business, pricing and marketing modules, printable workbooks and headsheets, live Q&A, and the progress tracker. Plans and prices are shown at checkout. As of the date above, the plans are:

  • Quarterly: $99, billed every 3 months
  • Yearly: $299, billed every 12 months

The price and billing interval shown at checkout when you join are the ones that apply to you.

3.3 Automatic renewal. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method on file is charged the then-current price for your plan until you cancel. By joining, you authorize these recurring charges. We’ll email you a reminder before a yearly plan renews, and we’ll email you before any price increase takes effect so you can cancel first. If you joined at a promotional rate that we told you is locked in, that rate stays the same for as long as your membership stays active without a break.

3.4 How to cancel. You can cancel anytime:

  • Online: log in at hairbnbuniversity.com, go to your account settings, and cancel your subscription; or
  • By email: write to [email protected] with “Cancel” in the subject line.

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for. We don’t give refunds or partial credits for unused time. We’ll confirm your cancellation by email. If you joined through an in-app purchase, cancel in your Apple or Google account settings (see section 5.4).

3.5 Content changes. We add new lessons regularly, and we may update, move or retire lessons, resources and bonuses. Live training dates and times may change; replays are posted for members. A membership gives you access to the library as it exists while you are a member, not to any specific lesson forever.

3.6 Not an accredited school. Hair B&B University is a digital education platform. It is not an accredited university, cosmetology school or licensing program, and it does not award degrees, licenses or state continuing-education hours unless a specific listing says so in writing. A certificate of completion, where offered, shows you finished a course. It is not a license or credential.

3.7 After your membership ends. Your access to the library, live trainings and member-only community spaces ends. Workbooks and headsheets you downloaded while you were a member may be kept for your own personal use under section 6.

4. Courses, guides and other digital products

4.1 One-time purchases. Courses, mini-courses, the Highlight Placement Blueprint, guides, workbooks and templates sold for a one-time price are delivered digitally, usually right away by email login or inside the app. Nothing physical is shipped. Unless a product is described as a subscription, you keep access for as long as we offer that product on our platform. If we ever retire a product you bought, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can download any included files.

4.2 Templates and contracts. Contract templates (for example, the Hair Extension Deposit & Service Agreement and the Bridal and Event Contract), scripts and similar resources are starting points for your own business. They are not legal advice. Laws vary by state, so have any contract reviewed by a lawyer where you work before you use it. You may customize them for your own business, but you may not resell or share them.

5. Payments, refunds and chargebacks

5.1 Prices. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before you buy. If something is listed at the wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund what you paid.

5.2 Payment plans. A payment plan is a commitment to pay the full price. If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it is paid.

5.3 ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Because our products are digital and delivered right away, all purchases are final and non-refundable, including memberships, courses, guides, templates, downloads and event tickets, whether used or not. The only exceptions are (a) events we cancel, as described in section 7, and (b) any refund right the law gives you that can’t be waived. Please read the product description before you buy, and email us with any questions first.

5.4 Access problems. If you can’t access something you bought, or a file doesn’t work, email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase. We’ll fix it or send a working replacement.

5.5 Purchases made in the app. Purchases made inside the app through Apple or Google are billed and managed by Apple or Google under their own terms. Refund requests for those purchases go to Apple or Google; we can’t issue refunds for them. You manage and cancel in-app subscriptions in your device’s account settings.

5.6 Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. If you dispute a valid charge, we may pause your access to our products while the dispute is open.

6. Your license to use our content

When you buy a product or access free content, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use it for your own education and your own work behind the chair. You may not:

  • share your login or let anyone else use your account;
  • copy, download (unless a download is provided), screen-record, screenshot, resell, sublicense, post or distribute our lessons, videos, live trainings, podcasts, workbooks, headsheets, templates or other materials;
  • use our materials to teach classes, build a competing course or product, or train artificial-intelligence models;
  • remove copyright or trademark notices.

If we believe content or a login is being shared, we may end access without a refund.

7. Live classes, workshops and events

If you register for a live class, workshop or event (in person or online):

  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Transfer to another class: you may move your ticket to another class within 12 months of your original purchase, on request and with our approval. A price difference may apply depending on venue and location.
  • Transfer to another person: you may transfer your ticket to someone else if you ask at least 7 days before the class. Email [email protected], CC the new attendee, and include both people’s full names, emails and phone numbers.
  • If we postpone (for example, if Mirella is ill), we’ll reschedule within 12 months and your ticket moves to the new date.
  • If we cancel and don’t reschedule, you’ll get a full refund to your original payment method.
  • If you can’t attend, no refund is given, but you keep any online education bonuses included with your ticket.
  • Travel: we are not responsible for flights, hotels, cars or other travel costs, including if an event is postponed or cancelled. We recommend travel insurance.
  • Safety: hands-on classes involve chemicals, heat tools and sharp tools. You accept those risks and agree to follow the instructor’s safety directions and your state’s licensing and sanitation rules.
  • Photos and recording: we may photograph and record events and use those images and recordings in our education and marketing. Tell the instructor at check-in if you don’t want to appear.
  • Hosted classes: if a salon or partner hosts a class, a separate host agreement may also apply.

8. The community and live trainings

Our online community (“The Campus”) and live trainings are for learning and support. When you take part, you agree to:

  • be respectful and professional, with no harassment, hate, spam or unsolicited selling;
  • only post photos or details of a client if you have the client’s permission, and never post a client’s private information;
  • not share other members’ posts, photos or messages outside the community.

We may edit or remove posts and limit or end access for anyone who breaks these rules. Live trainings may be recorded and shared with members as replays, so your name, image and questions may appear in a replay. Turn your camera off if you’d rather not be seen.

9. Educational disclaimer

9.1 For beauty professionals. Our education is intended for licensed hairstylists, cosmetology students and beauty professionals. It is general educational information, not a guarantee of any result.

9.2 Your professional responsibility. You are solely responsible for how you use any technique, including client consultations, allergy patch tests and strand tests, following product manufacturers’ instructions and safety warnings, and following your state’s cosmetology licensing and sanitation rules. Results depend on your skill, your client’s hair history and condition, and the products you use. We are not responsible for any damage, injury or dissatisfaction resulting from services you perform.

9.3 No business or income guarantee. Business, pricing and marketing content is shared from Mirella’s own experience. We don’t promise that you will earn any particular amount of money or reach any business result. Testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not typical or guaranteed results.

9.4 Not professional advice. Nothing in the Services is legal, tax, financial or medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional for those matters.

10. Intellectual property

All content in the Services, including text, videos, live trainings, podcasts, photos, graphics, courses, techniques as presented, workbooks, headsheets, templates, logos and the names “Mirella Manelli,” “Mirella Manelli Education,” “Hair B&B,” “Hair B&B University” and “Dean’s List” as used for our programs, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except for the license in section 6, no rights are given to you.

Copyright complaints. If you believe content in the Services infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your contact information; a description of the work; the URL or location of the material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.

11. Reviews, testimonials and content you share

If you post comments, reviews, questions, photos or other content, submit a testimonial, or tag us on social media, you:

  • confirm you own it or have permission to share it (including from any client shown), and that it is truthful and not unlawful, harassing or infringing;
  • give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display and share it, with your name or handle, in connection with the Services and our marketing; and
  • understand we may edit, decline or remove any content at our discretion.

We only publish genuine reviews and testimonials, and we disclose when a reviewer received something in return.

12. Email, text messages, push notifications and the app

  • Email and text messages are sent only if you sign up. For texts, message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
  • Push notifications can be turned off in your device or browser settings.
  • The app is also subject to the Apple App Store or Google Play terms, including Apple’s standard end user license agreement.

Some links in the Services are affiliate links, and some content may be sponsored or created with professional hair brands we partner with. We may earn a commission or receive products at no extra cost to you, and we disclose these relationships. Mirella also owns Manelli Hair, so when we recommend Manelli products we have a financial interest in them. Giveaways and contests are governed by their own official rules.

14. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Services for anything unlawful; interfere with or disrupt the Services; try to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems; scrape, crawl or copy the Services with automated tools; upload viruses or malicious code; or impersonate anyone.

15. Third-party sites and services

The Services link to and use third-party services (for example, Kajabi, YouTube, Vimeo, podcast platforms, social networks, payment processors and app stores). We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices, and your use of them is governed by their terms.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We don’t warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, INSTRUCTORS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, CLIENTS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY TECHNIQUE LEARNED FROM THEM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING. Some places don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services or our materials, or any service you perform on a client.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please email [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any dispute that isn’t resolved informally will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.

20. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If you have an active membership and a change materially affects it, we’ll email you at least 14 days before the change applies to you. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms.

21. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any checkout details described above, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor business.
