Effective date: October 5, 2026
Last updated: October 5, 2026

This page is the privacy policy for mirellamanelli.com. This site runs on WordPress (Complianz cookie manager) and uses: Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, TikTok Pixel, Reddit Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Mailchimp (signup forms), OneSignal (push notifications), Cloudflare, Google reCAPTCHA, Stripe (payments), and embedded YouTube, Vimeo and Buzzsprout (podcast) players. Change your cookie choices any time with the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer (opens our Complianz opt-out preferences page).

This Privacy Policy explains how the Mirella Manelli family of brands (“we,” “us,” “our“) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to all of these Services:

  • mirellamanelli.com (Mirella Manelli: blog, podcast, shop, live education)
  • manellihair.com (Manelli hair extensions, tools and the Manelli Certified Stylist and Pro Affiliate programs)
  • hairbnbuniversity.com (Hair B&B University)
  • mirellamanellieducation.com (Mirella Manelli Education: online courses, digital products and memberships)
  • the Hair B&B mobile app (iOS and Android)
  • our emails, text messages, and social media pages where they link to this policy

It does not cover third-party websites or apps we link to; their own policies apply.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The Services are operated by Sound Sci-Lens Multimedia Group, LLC (“Mirella Manelli”), doing business as Mirella Manelli, Mirella Manelli Education, Hair B&B University and Manelli.

  • Privacy email: [email protected] (Manelli store questions: [email protected])
  • Mail: Sound Sci-Lens Multimedia Group, LLC, 6 Journey, #155, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656, United States

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing and shipping address.
  • Account details: username, password and profile information for course, membership, app or store accounts.
  • Purchase data: products and courses bought, order history, billing and shipping address, and payment confirmation. Card and bank details are entered with and processed by our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Shopify Payments, Kajabi Payments, Apple or Google for in-app purchases); we don’t store full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, contact forms, live chat, social media or in course communities, and survey or quiz answers.
  • Content you post: comments, reviews, community posts, photos and testimonials.
  • Professional details (for stylist programs): business name, salon location, certification and affiliate information.

Information collected automatically (device and browsing data)

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Pages and products viewed, links clicked, time on page, referring website, cart activity, and course progress.
  • Email and text engagement (whether a message was opened or a link was clicked).
  • Identifiers set by cookies, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies (see section 5).

Information from others

  • Payment processors and platforms (order and payment status), advertising and social media partners (for example, if you interact with our ads or pages), and affiliates or certified stylists who refer you.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or government ID numbers.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the Services: process orders and payments, ship products, deliver courses, memberships and app features, and manage accounts.
  • To communicate with you: order and account messages, customer support, and responses to your requests.
  • Marketing: to send emails and text messages you’ve agreed to receive, and to show you ads for our products on other websites and social media (see sections 4 and 5).
  • To understand and improve the Services: analytics, testing, and product development.
  • To run promotions, affiliate and certification programs.
  • For security and fraud prevention (for example, Google reCAPTCHA and Cloudflare), and to comply with law, enforce our terms and protect our rights.

4. Email and text (SMS) marketing

  • Email: we send marketing email only after you sign up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; you can also email us (section 1). We’ll process your request within 10 business days. We’ll still send order and account messages.
  • Text messages: if you opt in to texts, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing messages at the number you gave. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help.
  • Mobile information is not shared, sold or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that send messages on our behalf.
  • Push notifications (app and browser) can be turned off in your device or browser settings.

5. Cookies, pixels and tracking tools

Not every tool runs on every Service; the section at the top of this page lists the ones used on this site. We update this list when we add or remove a tool.

Your cookie choices

  • Use the cookie settings link (“Cookie Settings” or “Your Privacy Choices” in the site footer) to accept or turn off analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may break features such as the cart or login.
  • Ad-platform choices: Meta ad preferences, Google Ads Settings, the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, TikTok ad settings, and the industry opt-outs at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • In the app, you can limit ad tracking in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

6. “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control

  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor GPC as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for the browser or device that sends it. If you’re signed in, we also apply it to your account where we can. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
  • Do Not Track (DNT): there’s no common standard for DNT browser signals, so we don’t respond to DNT signals other than GPC.

7. How we share information

We share personal information with:

  • Service providers that work for us under contract: hosting and site platforms (WordPress hosting, Shopify, Kajabi), payment processors, shipping carriers, email/SMS and push providers, customer support and chat, analytics, security, and professional advisers.
  • Advertising and social media partners (Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest) through the pixels in section 5, to show and measure ads. Under California and some other state laws this can be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out (section 8).
  • Affiliates and certified stylists, only as needed to credit referrals or connect you with a stylist you ask for.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect rights, safety and property.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, sale or reorganization, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction (for example, a public review or testimonial).

We do not sell personal information for money. In the last 12 months we have not knowingly sold or shared the personal information of consumers under 16.

8. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know / access: what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell or share, and to get a copy.
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, order records we must keep).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for targeted advertising.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information. We don’t use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

How to submit a request

  • Opt out of sale/sharing: click “Your Privacy Choices” in the site footer, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
  • Access, delete or correct: submit our privacy request form [privacy-request-form link], or email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request”.
  • We’ll confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (we may extend once by 45 days and will tell you). To protect you, we verify requests by matching information you give us (for example, your email and an order number) with our records.
  • Authorized agents may submit a request for you with your signed permission; we may still verify your identity with you directly.

9. Privacy rights in other states

Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and others) may have similar rights: to access, correct, delete and get a copy of personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling. Use the same methods in section 8. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Appeal”; we’ll respond within 45 days.

Nevada: we don’t sell covered information as defined by Nevada law; you may still email us an opt-out request.

10. Visitors outside the United States

The Services are operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the US and by our service providers in other countries. If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing), our contract with you (orders and courses), our legitimate interests (security, improvement) and legal obligations. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise them.

11. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for adults and beauty professionals. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

12. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, payment processing by PCI-compliant providers, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Keep your account password private.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or a notice on the Services.
