In this video, I show you how to do a quick highlighting technique called Air Touch Balayage. It is the perfect blend of babylights and balayage.

I kept this air touch balayage sectioning pretty simple. Sometimes that’s really all you need to do. No shadow root or color melt. Just one simple formula for the final glaze. The trick? Air touch! This highlighting technique is so easy and beautiful. All you need is a comb and a blowdryer!

So what is Air Touch Balayage? “The AirTouch technique uses air, versus teasing/backcombing, to create a seamless blend of color. Attributed to Vladimir Sarbashev, the colorist takes a section of hair with tension on the longest lengths, and uses a blow dryer to push the shorter hairs and internal layers down and out of the way.”

Air Touch Balayage was born in Russia and now it’s making it’s way to the US and I’m obsessed with this technique so I just had to try it!

I learned it’s been used in Russia for some time now and I am so glad I gave it a try! I’m obsessed with the results. You should try it out too!
