Four different highlight foil placements and the brightness they can create.
In this educational video, I am covering four different highlight foil placements and the brightness they can create. Whether you foil horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, the brightness of your highlight can change based on your placement.
For educational purposes, foil slices are used throughout each highlight placement so you can see the difference in brightness in each placement. However, you can customize the type of highlight in each placement based on your client’s needs.
Highlight Foil Placements I cover:
Horizontal- Horizontal foil placement creates overall brightness, high diffusion, natural-looking highlights, color correction, can create a stopping point.
Vertical- Vertical foil placement gives a high contrast effect, but it also gives the illusion of longer hair by making the highlight look like a ribbon of brightness.
Diagonal Forward or Back- Depending on the foil placement on the head, this can create soft contrast or high contrast. This placement is a nice marriage between horizontal and vertical.
